SAP FI Junior Consultant

Role Summary

We are looking for a motivated SAP FI Junior Consultant to support SAP implementation and rollout projects. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of SAP Finance (FI), strong communication skills in both Japanese and English, and the ability to support business users by translating functional and technical discussions, documents, and project communications.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in global SAP implementation projects while working closely with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and offshore development team

Key Responsibilities

• Support SAP FI implementation, rollout, and enhancement activities.
• Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements.
• Translate and interpret discussions, emails, meeting minutes, and project documents between Japanese and English.
• Coordinate communication between Japanese business users and global project teams.
• Support functional testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and defect tracking.
• Assist in preparing functional specifications, process documentation, and training materials.
• Participate in workshops, status meetings, and project discussions.
• Provide end-user support during implementation and post-go-live activities.
• Work closely with senior SAP FI consultants to resolve functional issues.

Required Skills & Experience

3–5 years of experience in SAP FI or ERP Finance support.

• knowledge of SAP FI modules, including: General Ledger (GL) 
• Accounts Payable (AP)
• Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Asset Accounting (AA)
• Bank Accounting
• Understanding of finance and accounting business processes.
• Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English (spoken and written).  
• Strong communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
• Willingness to learn and work in a global implementation environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting SAP implementation or rollout projects.
• SAP FI certification is an added advantage.
• Understanding of integration between SAP FI and other SAP modules (MM/SD).
• JLPT N2/N1 (or equivalent Japanese proficiency) preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.
