Senior Engineering Manager | JP/EN | Relocation

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager / Senior Engineering Manager who is passionate about people leadership, process excellence, and technical delivery.

• Identify bottlenecks and drive scalable process improvements.
• Promote operational excellence across engineering teams.

• Lead multiple engineering initiatives from planning and scoping through execution and release.
• Translate business requirements into actionable technical plans and milestones.
• Manage delivery timelines, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.
• Ensure projects deliver measurable business value while maintaining quality standards.

• Partner with Product and Technical Leadership teams to define and execute the engineering roadmap.
• Evaluate technologies, tools, and frameworks to support scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Balance innovation with effective management of technical debt.
• Facilitate architectural discussions and guide teams toward sound technical decisions.
• Drive engineering excellence and long-term platform sustainability.

• Work closely with Product, Customer Success, QA, and Business teams to align priorities and execution.
• Communicate regularly with leadership and stakeholders regarding progress, risks, and strategic priorities.
• Collaborate with technical leaders to balance immediate delivery goals with long-term platform objectives.

• 5+ years of engineering leadership experience, preferably within SaaS, software product, or technology-driven organizations.
• Demonstrated success managing and scaling engineering teams.
• Experience establishing engineering processes and driving continuous improvement within Agile environments.
• Strong project and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Proven ability to coach and develop engineers.
• Broad technical understanding across areas such as:
  • Backend Engineering
  • Frontend Engineering
  • Mobile Development
  • DevOps / Infrastructure
  • Security
  • CRM or Enterprise Platforms
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, and DevSecOps.
• Experience working in international or multicultural environments is a plus.
• Japanese language capability is beneficial but not required.
