Your New Role As a Research Analyst, you will play a critical role in delivering actionable market intelligence and strategic insights across global commodity markets. You will support business decision-making through rigorous analysis of market trends, supply-demand fundamentals, pricing movements, and industry developments.

Key Responsibilities 1. Commodity Market Analysis

• Conduct in-depth research and analysis of commodity markets, including metals, raw materials, and broader industrial sectors.

• Monitor supply-demand fundamentals, market trends, pricing developments, and competitive dynamics.

• Identify emerging opportunities, risks, and market disruptions that may impact business performance.​‌

   

2. Strategic Insights & Business Support

• Provide market intelligence and recommendations to support procurement, commercial, and strategic planning decisions.

• Translate complex market data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.

• Prepare high-quality reports, presentations, and market updates for internal and external audiences.

3. Data Analytics & Research

• Collect, maintain, and analyze market data from multiple sources.

• Develop and improve databases, analytical frameworks, and forecasting models.

• Support automation initiatives and quantitative analysis to enhance research efficiency and insight generation.

4. Stakeholder Engagement

• Present market findings and recommendations to business stakeholders and leadership teams.

• Create compelling presentations on market developments, industry trends, and business implications.

• Build and maintain networks with industry participants, market specialists, research providers, and other relevant stakeholders.

5. Industry & Market Intelligence

• Track developments across commodities, industrial sectors, sustainability initiatives, and macroeconomic trends.

• Monitor factors influencing global trade flows, production, demand, and industry competitiveness.

• Support the ongoing development of a best-in-class market intelligence function.

Qualifications

• Strong academic background in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Geology, Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related discipline.

• 1–3 years of experience in market research, commodity analysis, consulting, trading, mining, industrial markets, or related fields.

• Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities with advanced Excel proficiency.

• Exposure to commodity markets, industrial value chains, or economic analysis is highly advantageous.

• Experience working with large datasets, forecasting, and statistical analysis is preferred.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information.

• Mandarin language proficiency is advantageous due to engagement with regional market stakeholders.

• Naturally curious, detail-oriented, and proactive with a strong interest in global markets and industry trends.
