Full-stack Engineer - Global Securities Firm

Randstad is partnered with giant Securities firm, on an exciting initiative to develop and enhance a global software platform for Fixed Income. They are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join a local development team and play a pivotal role in this project.

The Opportunity:
- You will be part of a collaborative, agile team, working closely with the team,
business stakeholders, and end users in Japan.
- You will be responsible for developing local and global enhancements and bug fixes to
the platform, ensuring its smooth operation and meeting the specific needs of the
Japan fixed income trading desk.
- You will also be involved in providing Level 2 and Level 3 support, ensuring timely
resolution of issues.

Responsibilities:
- Develop enhancements and bug fixes for the system.
- Provide L2/L3 support within a rotational schedule, covering shifts from 7:00 AM to
7:30 PM.
- Collaborate with both overseas and local team members, ensuring seamless communication and knowledge sharing.
- Engage with end users in Japan, understanding their requirements and ensuring the
system meets their needs.

- Strong experience with Kotlin (or Java with experience in C#, Python, TypeScript, etc.)
- Experience with Spring Boot (or equivalent like ASP.NET Core)
- Proficiency in Kafka or equivalent messaging/event platforms
- Solid understanding of MongoDB (or other NoSQL databases)
- Experience with microservice architecture and REST APIs
- Strong knowledge of containerization
- Experience with automated deployment processes

Frontend:
- Expertise in React, TypeScript, and NodeJS
- Familiarity with npm package management

Nice to Have:
Server/Backend:
- Experience with ION
- Knowledge of reactive programming
- Experience with Azure or other public cloud platforms

Frontend:
- Experience with WebSockets or server-sent events

Non-Technical Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience with fixed income and/or trading systems is highly desirable
