Description

• Design, deploy, manage, and optimize large-scale Elasticsearch clusters in production environments.
• Ensure the performance, scalability, security, and high availability of Elasticsearch infrastructure.
• Manage highly available MySQL clusters running on Kubernetes and containerized platforms.
• Develop and maintain backup, recovery, monitoring, and capacity planning strategies for database environments.
• Automate database deployment, scaling, and operational tasks using scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
• Implement best practices for running stateful workloads on Kubernetes.
• Monitor system health using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, and related observability platforms.
• Troubleshoot complex database incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Lead database lifecycle management and continuous infrastructure improvements.
• Collaborate with development, SRE, and infrastructure teams to support application reliability and performance.
• Mentor junior engineers, provide technical leadership, and promote engineering best practices.
• Participate in on-call support for critical production database systems.

• 8+ years of experience as a Database Engineer or Data Infrastructure Engineer.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience designing and operating large-scale Elasticsearch clusters.
• Strong knowledge of Elasticsearch architecture, indexing, sharding, replication, performance tuning, security, and monitoring.
• Solid experience administering MySQL in high-availability production environments.
• Experience deploying and managing databases on Kubernetes and Docker-based platforms.
• Proficiency in automation using Python and/or Bash.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong understanding of database security, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools including Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, or Splunk.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform is advantageous.
• Experience with additional NoSQL technologies such as Couchbase is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
