POSITION TITLE　 Founding Security Operations & GRC Lead

POSITION SUMMARY

A company in the digital financial infrastructure industry is hiring for a Founding Security Operations & GRC Lead. This position offers the opportunity to help build and maintain a security and governance framework for a highly regulated technology platform. Working closely with executive leadership, the successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening security operations, compliance readiness, vendor oversight, and risk management as the organization grows.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Lead day-to-day security operations, including security monitoring, incident response coordination, vulnerability management, and remediation tracking.

• Maintain security controls, audit evidence, access reviews, and compliance documentation to support regulatory readiness.

• Oversee cloud security activities, security findings, and operational risk management across technology platforms.

• Partner with engineering teams to support secure development practices, security reviews, and operational controls.

• Coordinate security oversight of third-party vendors and service providers, including risk assessments and issue follow-up.

• Prepare leadership updates on security risks, incidents, remediation efforts, and overall security posture.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 7+ years of experience in security operations, cloud security, GRC, technology risk, incident response, or related disciplines.

• Experience supporting security programs in regulated, audit-sensitive, or high-security environments.

• Strong knowledge of security monitoring, vulnerability management, access governance, incident response, and control documentation.

• Hands-on experience with AWS security tools, cloud security controls, and security governance processes.

• Familiarity with SIEM, endpoint security, identity management, vulnerability scanning, and DevSecOps practices.

• Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.

LOCATION　 Remote work flexibility within the United States.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE　Full-Time

SALARY　 $140,000–$190,000
