PR/160605 | MEP Manager - Data Centre Project / MEP Experience

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced MEP Manager to lead Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works for a large-scale Data Centre project. This role will play a key part in delivering mission-critical infrastructure, ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

This is a site-based position in Nilai, requiring close coordination with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all MEP works from design review through construction, testing, and commissioning

• Oversee MEP subcontractors, ensuring quality delivery aligned with project timelines

• Review MEP drawings, specifications, and technical submissions

• Coordinate across civil, structural, and architectural teams for seamless integration

• Support installation and commissioning of critical systems including HVAC, electrical, and fire protection

• Monitor project progress, costs, and schedules, proactively addressing any delays or risks

• Ensure compliance with QA/QC standards, safety policies, and regulatory requirements

• Liaise with clients, consultants, and authorities for approvals and inspections

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)

• 10–15 years of MEP experience in construction projects

• Strong experience in data centre projects (highly preferred)

• Experience in mission-critical environments (e.g., data centres, high-tech facilities)

• Solid knowledge of:
  HVAC and precision cooling systems
  UPS, generators, and electrical distribution systems
  Fire protection systems
  BMS / EPMS

• Ability to manage fast-track, complex projects in a site environment
