A company in the software product industry is hiring for a Principal PHP Software Engineer position.

Job Description

• Design, develop, and test new features using PHP for a large-scale web application.

• Participate in system enhancement, code refactoring, and quality improvement initiatives.

• Drive technical excellence by focusing on code quality, maintainability, and long-term system stability.

• Lead technical discussions, review deliverables, and ensure high-quality output from the development team.

• Support team members in resolving technical challenges and investigating complex system issues.

• Analyze business requirements and propose appropriate technical solutions.

• Utilize modern AI-assisted development tools to improve development efficiency and test automation processes.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of experience developing web applications with PHP, including development, refactoring, and unit testing.

• At least 2 years of experience leading technical activities, including code review, quality assurance, technical problem-solving, and solution design.

• Hands-on experience with one or more PHP frameworks such as Laravel, CakePHP, Zend, CodeIgniter, or Yii2.

• At least 2 years of experience working with VueJS, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Experience preparing technical documentation and sharing knowledge with team members.

• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and research capabilities.

• Experience with tools such as Figma, PHPStorm, or GitHub is an advantage.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Gemini, Claude, or ChatGPT is preferred.

• Ability to read and understand English technical documentation.

• Experience working in a Japanese-style development environment is an advantage.
