Senior Rust Engineer

Responsibilities
-Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications, with a specific emphasis on API development, using Rust.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement software requirements.
-Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
-Develop and maintain APIs to support seamless integration with external systems.
-Debug and troubleshoot software issues, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
-Stay up-to-date with the latest Rust developments and best practices.
-Contribute to the design and architecture of software projects.
-Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
-Create and maintain technical documentation.
-Work on continuous improvement initiatives to enhance software quality and development processes.
-Participate in agile development practices and methodologies.

-Strong knowledge of at least one programming language (experience with Rust is a plus).
-Willingness to learn and develop expertise in Rust.
-Proficient in understanding software architecture and design, with the ability to align the overall service architecture.
-Hands-on experience in building distributed systems, emphasizing scalability and high throughput software.
-Proven track record of maintaining and advancing existing code bases.
-Comfortable with knowledge sharing, collaborative teamwork, and relationship building.
-Demonstrates a keen interest in the organization's engineering and product development strategy, aligning with the overall business strategy.
-Ability to define task outlines and deliverables, showcasing a sense of urgency when required.
-Capable of managing ambiguity and exercising good judgment when needed.
-Effective in giving and receiving constructive feedback tactfully, both upstream and downstream.
-Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
-Familiarity with the following technologies is a plus:
Akka Cluster, Cassandra, Redis, Elasticsearch, Kafka
-Experience with Event Sourcing and CQRS
-Understanding of JVM internals and performance optimization
-Experience with CircleCI, AWS, Fargate, Terraform, Datadog
-Previous experience working on a payment platform or in the fintech field.
