Key Responsibilities

• Analyze, support, and enhance mainframe (MF) applications and systems
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define business and technical requirements
• Support modernization efforts, including integration with cloud-based environments
• Work with development and operations teams to ensure system reliability and performance
• Manage job scheduling, JCL processes, and production support activities
• Ensure smooth data handling and database interactions (RDB knowledge preferred)

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in mainframe application development and/or maintenance
• Strong experience with COBOL and/or Assembler programming
• Hands-on knowledge of IBM, Fujitsu, or Hitachi mainframe platforms (middleware and utilities)
• Experience with JCL, job scheduling, and job management
• Knowledge of SAM/VSAM files and RDB databases
• Business-level proficiency in Japanese (N2+) and English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Java development in cloud environments
• Exposure to modernization or migration projects
