A global data services company is looking for a Finance Controller. The qualified candidate will lead and manage all accounting operations, including financial reporting, cash and treasury management, tax compliance, and financial governance. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Transform, develop and manage the company's accounting team
• Handle all financial accounting operations in Japan, including transaction processing and statutory reporting
• Operate cash and treasury management
• Ensure tax accounting and operations compliance
• Own financial governance in Japan
• Handle internal and external audits
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders and business partners
• Partner with Japan functions across the company
• Act as right-hand support to the Japan Finance Director

Requirements:

• Professional financial qualification or graduate-level degree in a finance-related field (CPA and/or related qualifications are advantageous).
• More than 4 years in a similar role or one leading up to this position
• Entrepreneurial mindset to create a new stage of organisational development.
• Proactive and independent in terms of managing the responsibilities and communicating effectively with all stakeholders (internal/external)
• Native level Japanese; business level written and verbal English
