A Financial Reporting Manager role is now open in a global insurance company. The selected candidate will serve as a key liaison with global teams, driving standardisation and process improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Work as a hub with the NY Controller team and assist legal entity Controller teams for day-to-day inquiries and requests
• Prepare a regional package for USGAAP financial quarterly, including accounting memo, regional variance analysis, etc
• File stand-alone JGAAP financial and tax return for the non-insurance companies
• File consolidated JSTAT financial and tax return for the holding company
• Co-work with other Finance teams such as FP&A, treasury, tax, reinsurance, and actuary for various matters
• Drive and support various finance initiatives
• Encourage and partner for standardisation and efficiency intra-Japan and globally for more accurate and accelerated closing
• Support the Head of Regional Financial Reporting and collaborate with legal entity Controller teams for timely and accurate financial reporting for USGAAP, JGAAP, and JSTAT

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or above
• More than 10 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting for insurance
  company
• Knowledge of both US GAAP reporting and J GAAP stand-alone or consolidated reporting
• Adaptability to a multi-cultural and diversified working environment
• Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability and willingness to communicate with overseas stakeholders and represent the Japan Controller team
• Professional accounting qualification is preferred
• Proficient in written and verbal Japanese and English
