ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

・ Drafting reviewing and negotiating a wide range of agreements that include agreements with （i） institutions/hospitals and distributors for providing our medical devices and services:
（ii） agreements with healthcare professionals （HCPs） for different types of HCP engagements （e.g. speaker engagements advisory boards）; and
（ii） service agreements with vendors for Marketing SCM/IT HR.
・ Guide other members in such as MDR Marketing DSS MA/MSL HR to comply with various local regulations such as promotional regulations/guidelines the Fair Competition Code of the Medical Devices Industry （医療機器業公正競争規約） Japan data privacy law and its guidelines labor and employment regulations and provide proactive hands on supports to help them achieve their goals/objectives
・ Review requests for HCP engagements and provide practical guidance to ensure compliance with external regulations and internal policies

・ Prepare and review corporate housekeeping documents （e.g. annual shareholders’ resolution） if assigned by APAC Counsel

・ Qualifications: Japanese qualified lawyer
・ Minimum three years of working experience as a legal adviser in law firms or companies （in house counsel）
・ Experienced in terms of basic local laws （e.g. civil code act on the protection of personal information companies act） as well as corresponding regulations
・ Experience in medical devices or pharmaceutical field or compliance is a plus but not a requirement
・ Fluent in Japanese
・ Basic business level English skills for reading and writing; no need to be fluent in English in terms of listening and speaking.
