Flutter Engineer for English speaker

Job Overview

We are hiring two Flutter Engineers to own the mobile experience across Kodomamo Family and Kodomamo School. You will build new features, fix customer-reported issues, and help shape the technical direction of our apps — working closely with the CTO and a small, senior-heavy team.
Our apps directly protect children in tens of thousands of families and schools across Japan. The code you write matters.

What You'll Do

• Build and ship cross-platform features for Kodomamo Family and Kodomamo School (Flutter/Dart, iOS & Android).
• Collaborate with the CTO and backend engineers to scope, design, and deliver new product capabilities.
• Triage and resolve customer support queries that require engineering investigation or code changes.
• Write clean, well-tested Dart code and participate actively in code reviews.
• Contribute to architectural decisions — we want engineers who have opinions about how things should be built.

Tech Stack

• Mobile: Flutter / Dart
• Backend: Go, TypeScript
• Infra: Kubernetes, GCP

Must-have:

• 2+ years of professional Flutter / Dart development.
• Shipped and maintained a production app on iOS and/or Android.
• Strong grasp of Flutter widget lifecycle, state management, and performance optimization.
• Comfortable reading API documentation and integrating with backend services.
• Communicates clearly in English (our working language); Japanese is a bonus, not required.

Preferred:

• Experience or curiosity with backend development (Go or TypeScript).
• Familiarity with AI-integrated mobile products.
• Experience in a startup or fast-paced product environment.
