Golang Backend Engineer for English speaker

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to own the next layer platform. The immediate priority is building out utility integrations — WhatsApp, Instagram, and other communication channels — that extend how Kodomamo connects with users and surfaces risk signals. You will have real ownership over backend architecture and work closely with the CTO on system design.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs in Go and TypeScript.
• Lead development of platform integrations with third-party services (WhatsApp Business API, Meta Graph API, etc.).
• Collaborate with Flutter engineers on mobile-backend contracts and API design.
• Write well-tested, maintainable code and contribute to thorough code reviews.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues, ensuring high reliability and performance.
• Contribute to backend architecture decisions as the platform scales.

Must-have:

• 3+ years of professional Go development in a production environment.
• Solid TypeScript skills — experience building backend services with Node.js or Deno.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production (deployment, networking, RBAC).
• Familiarity with GCP services (Cloud Run, GKE, Pub/Sub, IAM, or equivalent).
• Experience designing RESTful APIs.
• Strong written and spoken English.

Preferred:

• Prior experience integrating with WhatsApp Business API, Twilio, or Meta's Graph API.
• Experience with event-driven architectures.
• Interest in AI safety, content moderation, or consumer app security.
