Accounting Manager

We are seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee the day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting for the Japan entity, working closely with regional and global finance teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes
• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reports in accordance with local and group standards
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies
• Ensure compliance with Japanese GAAP and corporate tax requirements
• Partner with global HQ on reporting, budgeting, and process improvement initiatives
• Lead and develop a small accounting team

Required Skills

• 3+ years of accounting or finance experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity
• Solid understanding of Japanese GAAP and tax regulations
• Business-level Japanese and English
• Experience working in a multinational or foreign-affiliated company

Nice to Have

• Experience in luxury, fashion, retail, or consumer goods industries
• CPA or equivalent accounting qualification
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
• Background in audit or Big Four accounting firms
