Company and Job Overview

Our client is looking for a Chief Accountant for operations in Phu Nhuan, Ho Chi Minh. This position responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, full compliance with accounting and tax regulations, and maintaining robust internal control systems to support business decision- making

Job Responsibilities

• Manage the full spectrum of accounting functions, including GL, AP, AR, and Fixed Assets

• Perform accurate and timely month- end and year-end closings

• Prepare monthly financial statements (BS, P&L, Cash Flow) under local GAAP and IFRS 

• Ensure compliance with all tax obligations (VAT, CIT, Tax finalization, and other statutory taxes)

• Coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities for audits and compliance matters

• Manage cash flow, bank reconciliation, and petty cash

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis

• Implement, monitor, and improve internal control procedures

• Work closely with internal stakeholders (regional finance, country manager, HR, sales, operations) and external parties (auditors, banks, tax authorities)

Job Requirements

• Fluent in English

• Having bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Having professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA or equivalent) 

• Having minimum 5-7 years of experience in accounting/finance 

• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, local tax regulations, and financial reporting

• Good understanding of IFRS for group reporting and reconciliation

• Proven experience working with tax authorities and external auditors

• Experienced with OneStream and strong Excel skills are advantageous
