PR/160274 | Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Machine Design / Equipment Design)

Our client is an established multinational engineering company specializing in heavy equipment and infrastructure related machinery used in industrial and construction environments.  The company provides engineering solutions, equipment design support and technical services for various infrastructure and industrial projects across the region. 

Due to business expansion, they are currently looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Assistant Manager Level) to join their engineering team. 

Job Responsibilities: - 

• Prepare and review mechanical design drawings, fabrication drawings, and technical documentation.
• Perform engineering calculations, design analysis, and evaluate structural integrity of mechanical components.
• Support modification and improvement of existing equipment to enhance performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Work closely with fabrication vendors and suppliers to ensure design feasibility and manufacturing quality.
• Coordinate with internal teams including project, production, and quality teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Participate in troubleshooting and provide technical solutions for mechanical engineering issues when required.
• Conduct engineering evaluation and recommend improvements to optimize equipment design and operational efficiency.

• Occasionally visit site or workshop when necessary to support project implementation or technical clarification.

   

Job Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 7–12 years of working experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in machinery, equipment manufacturing, or industrial engineering environments.
• Strong experience in machine design, mechanical equipment design, or industrial system design.
• Proficient in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or AutoCAD.
• Experience with engineering analysis or FEA simulation is an added advantage.
• Good understanding of fabrication processes, manufacturing methods, and mechanical system integration.
• Experience working with suppliers, fabrication vendors, and cross-functional engineering teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to engineering details.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently in a team environment.
• Willing to travel for occasional site visits if required.
