IT Security Consultant

A Global Automotive firm is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Security Specialist – PKI Product Owner to lead the design, ownership, and transformation of the company’s Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) environment.

This role sits within the IT Infrastructure organization and focuses on establishing, governing, and operating a modern enterprise PKI platform. The position combines infrastructure architecture, security governance, provider management, and long-term product ownership responsibilities. You will play a central role in transitioning PKI services from the parent organization, while designing a robust, scalable, and globally aligned PKI landscape.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of the enterprise PKI platform, services, and operational processes
- Establish architectural standards, governance frameworks, and security policies for certificate and key management
- Own the PKI service landscape, ensuring scalability, resilience, and compliance
- Act as the primary subject matter expert and product owner for PKI technologies and services
- Drive migration and transition of PKI systems during carve-out or post-merger activities
- Define sustainable PKI operating models to support business continuity and transformation programs
- Identify and mitigate risks related to identity, certificates, and cryptographic services
- Monitor and manage PKI system performance, availability, and operational stability
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to maintain service quality and SLA adherence
- Continuously improve operational efficiency, automation, and service reliability
- Align PKI strategy with enterprise security objectives through global and regional stakeholder collaboration
- Represent the PKI domain in cross-functional, governance, and strategic IT/security discussions

- Minimum 5+ years of professional IT experience, with strong focus on PKI, security infrastructure, or identity-related platforms
- Proven experience designing, implementing, or managing enterprise PKI environments
- Strong understanding of cryptographic principles, certificate lifecycle management, and key management practices
- Practical experience in IT infrastructure environments, including implementation, migration, and operational support
- Experience working with external providers, vendors, or outsourced service models
- Solid knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) and governance-driven operational models
- Familiarity with ITIL, security best practices, and enterprise IT standards
