[Global Venture Capitalist] - Global Leading Venture Firm

About the Role

As a Global Venture Capitalist, you will be responsible for managing and supporting a portfolio of global startup investments.

This role includes sourcing new investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, supporting portfolio companies, and participating in exit activities. You will work closely with founders, internal leadership, and external stakeholders to help drive strategic growth and long-term value creation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Venture Capital Investment

• Execute venture capital investments in Japan and internationally
• Identify and evaluate new startup investment opportunities
• Conduct financial analysis, valuation, and due diligence

2. Portfolio Management

• Monitor and support portfolio companies
• Assist founders with strategic planning and business development
• Drive value creation initiatives and performance improvements

3. Exit Strategy & Execution

• Participate in exit planning and execution
• Support strategic transactions and investor communications

4. Organizational Contribution

• Support internal organizational initiatives and team development
• Assist with internal meetings, reporting, and operational activities
• Participate in strategic initiatives within the investment segment

09:30 – 18:30

Work Style
Hybrid work arrangement (approximately 3 days in office / 2 days remote)

Required Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of corporate finance, including venture capital, startup finance, financial analysis, and valuation
• Excellent logical thinking, leadership, and execution skills
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders
• Native-level Japanese and business-level English (approximately TOEIC 900 or equivalent)
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience at a general trading company or operating company in a strategic or investment role
• Background in consulting or startup creation, including international expansion
• Experiance with liquidation events or structured finance
• Global exposure such as an MBA, overseas degree, or professional experience abroad
