【業務内容】
GKNドライブラインジャパンは自動車の駆動系部品の開発をおこなっていますが、当ポジションでは、ドライブシャフト及び等速ジョイント(CVJ)の製品設計段階から試作・量産に至るまでの開発プロセスに関する業務を行います。　
今回の募集ポジションPlatform Engineering Managerは担当プログラムにおける顧客とのエンジニアリング窓口として、製品ライフサイクル全体にわたり、上司であるManager Engineering および Chief Engineer の指導のもと、顧客期待や事業戦略と整合したプロジェクト遂行、またチームのマネジメントを担います。

１．顧客に対する技術面での対応についての統括業務

• 顧客に対して、技術面でのあらゆる活動を統括する。
• アカウントチーム及び全社的な製品戦略をチーム内に展開する。
• アカウントチーム内のマーケティング活動を技術面からサポートする。
• 各プロジェクトに必要な開発や技術検討の工数見積もりを行い、サイト毎の予算の立案、執行に協力する。
• 先行開発（Stage A・B）、量産プロジェクトの立上げや問題解決（Stage C・D）等、様々な開発ステージで、社内スペシャリストからの応援を得られるよう調整する。
• 顧客の先行開発チームと良好で有意義な関係を構築する。

２．顧客とのアプリケーション・エンジニアリング業務

• 担当車両については、見積もり検討（pre-C0）から量産（Stege D)まで、一貫した製品のアプリケーション・エンジニアリング業務を遂行する。
• 要求仕様の明確化を執り行う。

３．顧客への提出に必要な技術資料作成業務

• 機密情報に留意しながら技術情報の蓄積・管理を行う。
• 製品仕様を検討し提案する。また海外を含む全てのプロジェクトで、顧客からの要求及び社内基準に対して、開発の各ステージで実機評価を実施し、結果を承認する。
• 製品の開発計画を立案し、また、開発終了、量産移行を承認する。

４．海外プロジェクトに関する対顧客の技術面での窓口業務

• 対顧客への技術面でのフロントエンドとして、あらゆる技術的内容について、国内外の開発チームとの仲介を行う。
• 顧客文化を社内で展開し、浸透を図る。
• 顧客の要望をいち早く察知し、社内展開する。
• 顧客と国内外の開発チームとの間の文書、交信の支援(通訳)を行う。
• 特に重要な問題に関して、開発チームと協力して、アクション、回答の調整を行う。
• 顧客との技術面での議論や対応について、担当者間のレベル合わせを行う。

５．マネジャーとして、チームメンバーの業務サポート・マネジメント業務

■当業務で使用する開発設計ツール、ソフトウエア、ハードウエア：
当ポジションに関連する設計(カスタマーエンジニアリング)で使用している計算ツールや管理システムは、GKNグループのオリジナルのため、入社してから覚えていただきます。
当ポジションでは直接の図面作成は行わず、設計CADチームへの依頼になります。

≪Job Description & Position Highlights≫

【Job Responsibilities】
GKN Driveline Japan develops automotive drivetrain components. In this role, you will be responsible for the development process from product design through to prototype and production for driveshafts and constant velocity joints (CVJs).　
The Platform Engineering Manager role being recruited for will serve as the engineering interface with customers for the assigned program. Under the guidance of Manager Engineering and Chief Engineer, the role will manage the team and ensure project execution aligns with customer expectations and business strategy throughout the entire product lifecycle.

■Key Responsibilities:
１．Technical Coordination with Customers

• Manage all technical activities related to customer interactions.
• Communicate account team strategies and company product strategies within the team.
• Provide technical support for marketing activities within the account team.
• Estimate the workload for development and technical evaluations required for each project, and assist in planning and executing budgets for each site.
• Coordinate internal specialists' support across various development stages, such as early development (Stage A & B), mass production launch, and issue resolution (Stage C & D).
• Build and maintain constructive and meaningful relationships with the customer’s advanced development teams.

２．Application Engineering with Customers

• For assigned vehicles, carry out consistent application engineering tasks from estimation (pre-C0) to mass production (Stage D)
• Clarify and define customer requirements and specifications.

３．Preparation of Technical Documents for Customer Submission

• Accumulate and manage technical information with attention to confidentiality.
• Propose product specifications. Conduct product evaluations at each development stage in response to customer requirements and internal standards, including overseas projects, and approve the results.
• Plan product development schedules and approve the completion of development and transition to mass production.

４．Technical Liaison for Overseas Projects

• As the technical front-end for customers, communicates all technical matters between domestic and international development teams.
• Share customer culture within the company.
• Get customer's needs early and communicate it internally.
• Support documentation and communication (including interpretation) between customers and domestic/international development teams.
• Collaborate with development teams to coordinate actions and responses for critical issues.
• Align technical discussions and responses for customers in the team.

■Development and design tools, software and hardware used in this work used in the design (customer engineering) related to this position:
Calculation tools and management systems are original to the GKN Automotive　Group,you will learn them after joining our company.
This position does not make drawings, you request it to design(CAD) team.

• 大卒、大学院卒、高専卒で、「機械工学専攻」の方、またそれ相当の方
• 自動車業界での機械系製品の開発業務、5～10年以上の経験がある方
• 自動車部品で、機械系製品の開発・設計経験のある方
  （パワートレイン、エンジン、ブレーキ、トランスミッション部品など）
• 顧客や海外チームと２言語（日本語・英語）での実務経験がある方
• 言語：日本語上級レベル（日本人同様の読み書きができる）、英語中級レベル
  （日系OEMの顧客、社内グローバルチームとのコミュニケーションあり）
  ※両言語ともに読み書きができること。スピーキングも今後必要となります。
• 普通自動車免許（車を運転できる方）

【Essential Qualifications & Experience】

• Educational Background; Technical college, Engineering Degree, Engineering Master Major; Mechanical
• Over 5 - 10 years of experience in Mechanical development within the automotive industry's Engineering
• Experience development / designing for mechanical parts ex. drivetrain / Engine / transmission parts
• Japanese fluently, English business level to communicate with customers, GKN global team
• Japanese driver license
• Person who are motivated to pursue global careers, curious about international work, or
  willing to challenge themselves in a global environment.
