We are seeking a dedicated BA Engineer (BMS / Data Center) to join our Building Automation team. This role is ideal for individuals with strong technical expertise in BMS, BACnet, SCADA, and experience in data center environments. 

You will be involved in engineering design, system integration, testing & commissioning, and project coordination to ensure successful project delivery.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Assist Senior Project Engineers or Project Managers in managing projects efficiently.
• Review construction plans, technical specifications, and contract documents to determine project requirements.
• Prepare engineering documentation including shop drawings, control schematics, and panel drawings (AutoCAD).
• Select appropriate control devices based on project specifications.
• Perform SCADA programming, system configuration, and on‑site commissioning.
• Conduct system testing (Cx) and support transition to operational readiness.
• Participate actively in data center projects, especially during construction and commissioning stages.
• Create equipment lists, coordinate material orders, and assist in supplier quotation requests.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials according to project schedules.
• Monitor and control project engineering costs.
• Deliver on‑site training to customers and end‑users.
• Prepare and update engineering documentation and O&M manuals.
• Assist with project cost estimates, budgeting, and progress claim preparation.
• Lead and execute Testing & Commissioning activities on site.
• Coordinate with installation subcontractors and main contractors.
• Provide weekly project progress updates to superiors.
• Attend site meetings and support resolution of engineering or project issues.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction through proactive communication and timely issue resolution.
• Clarify equipment submittals and technical issues with contractors and project participants.
• Provide assistance in service and maintenance activities when required.
• Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate issues as needed.
• Ensure confidentiality of customer information according to company policies.
• Support the sales team with after‑sales service, technical consultation, and customer relationship enhancement.
• Maintain strong communication and collaboration within the department and across teams.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the superior.  

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Technical knowledge of HVAC mechanical/control systems is an added advantage.
• Hands‑on experience in BACnet engineering (BACnet/IP configuration, device integration, troubleshooting).
• Project experience in commercial buildings, hospitals, hotels, factories, or similar environments.
• Ability to interpret and implement BACnet protocols in building automation systems.
• Practical experience in SCADA development and commissioning.
• Familiarity with PC View or ICONICS preferred (other platforms acceptable).
• Experience integrating SCADA with BMS or other subsystems is an advantage.
• Familiarity with critical infrastructure systems (HVAC, power monitoring, environmental controls) is an added advantage.
• Strong skills in planning, organisation, follow‑up, problem solving, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal relations.
• Proactive, responsible, positive attitude, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Able to manage multiple tasks, prioritise work, and perform well under pressure.
• Willing to travel to project sites when required (mainly Kuala Lumpur & Cyberjaya).
• Possess own transport and a valid driving licence.
