Job Summary

This role requires fluency in Japanese. The position supports the property's sales efforts across various market segments—such as group, transient, association, and corporate—and contributes to the execution of strategic sales initiatives. The goal is to meet segment-specific revenue targets, overall property revenue objectives, and maintain high levels of guest and employee satisfaction. The role involves daily sales activities with a strong focus on building long-term, value-oriented client relationships that drive business growth. Individual booking targets must also be met.

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related field, plus at least 3 years of experience in sales, marketing, or a related professional role
    OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the above fields, plus at least 1 year of relevant experience

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy Development and Execution

  • Understands and effectively applies the segment-specific sales strategy
  • Actively seeks new business opportunities
  • Collaborates with leadership to create and implement sales plans targeting specific markets and customer profiles
  • Assists with internal and external promotional campaigns

Revenue Optimization

  • Provides leadership to maximize revenue, including meeting personal sales goals
  • Contributes to setting performance and booking targets for the sales team

Sales Operations Management

  • Approves space releases for catering when needed to optimize revenue
  • Participates in sales calls to secure new business and close high-value deals
  • Supports execution of confirmed business, including proposals, contracts, and client communications

Sales Performance Analysis

  • Uses sales systems and market data to help achieve room and catering revenue goals
  • Assists with accurate forecasting in collaboration with revenue management
  • Reviews guest feedback to identify areas for improvement

Customer Service Excellence

  • Leads by example in delivering outstanding hospitality
  • Engages with clients to gather feedback on service and product quality
  • Supports and empowers staff to provide excellent service
  • Integrates guest satisfaction into team communications
  • Anticipates client needs and offers solutions that exceed expectations
  • Builds client loyalty through consistent and effective communication

Relationship Building

  • Maintains strong relationships with internal teams and external partners
  • Coordinates with off-site sales teams to ensure unified sales efforts
  • Ensures compliance with relevant standards and policies
  • Represents the property at client events, trade shows, and sales missions to expand market presence
