[English only] Lead Backend Engineer (Laravel)

A Global Real estate firm is looking for a Lead Backend Engineer (Laravel). You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing backend systems that power our internal tools, mobile apps, and websites.
You will also contribute to defining, refining, and enforcing backend development standards, ensuring architectural consistency across systems and services.
In addition, you’ll help propose and evaluate new technologies and tools, playing an active role in technical decision-making that impacts multiple products and future platform evolution.
Working closely with frontend, mobile, QA, and SRE/DevOps teams, you’ll ensure our systems are reliable, performant, and scalable for the needs of our growing ecosystem.

Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain APIs and backend services using Laravel
- Collaborate with frontend, mobile, QA, and SRE/DevOps teams to deliver high-quality, well-integrated solutions
- Define, document, and help enforce backend coding standards, architectural patterns, and best practices
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following Laravel best practices
- Implement automated tests (unit, integration) and participate in code reviews
- Work with MySQL databases: design schemas, write optimized queries, and ensure data integrity
- Integrate and maintain connections with external APIs and internal systems
- Participate in Agile sprints and contribute to technical discussions and planning
- Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve code quality, testing efficiency, and documentation
- Support deployment and CI/CD processes to ensure smooth releases

Working Hours: 09:00 - 18:00 Mon-Fri
Working Style: Hybrid (2-3 days in office, other WFH)

Required Skills:
- 4+ years of professional experience as a backend or full-stack engineer
- Strong expertise with Laravel and PHP (OOP, MVC, Eloquent ORM)
- Solid understanding of database design and optimization (MySQL)
- Experience building RESTful APIs and handling authentication and authorization flows
- Familiarity with Git and Agile development processes
