Position Overview

This role offers the opportunity to work alongside specialists from around the world and gain exposure to a broad range of corporate legal, compliance, and risk management matters. The Legal Manager will provide legal support across contracts, compliance, M&A, and company-wide risk initiatives, while also contributing to training and knowledge sharing across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily legal consultation and review contracts in both Japanese and English.
• Support compliance initiatives, litigation disputes, and M&A activities.
• Operate the compliance committee and handle individual cases as needed.
• Support company-wide risk management and mitigation initiatives.
• Develop and deliver compliance and legal training for internal teams.

Employment Details

• Employment Type: Full-time, Manager level
• Work Hours: Discretionary Work System (Deemed working hours, 8 hours/day; flextime available, core hours 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of legal experience, preferably in corporate law.
• Experience in Japanese-English contract review and legal consultation.
• Exposure to compliance, litigation disputes, and M&A.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues proactively.
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills; able to work effectively across departments and geographies.
