PR/159620 | Production Senior Manager

This Japanese company is seeking an experienced Production Senior Manager to oversee and optimise the manufacturing operations at facility in Penang.

Plan and enhance operational efficiency and overall departmental management.
Develop and implement actions to achieve established objectives.
Monitor and control departmental expenditures.
Implement and enforce quality improvement initiatives.
Review, approve, and manage departmental purchases.
Plan and manage manpower requirements.
Review, control, and approve departmental overtime requests.
Oversee, control, and approve departmental hiring.
Review, control, and approve all departmental documentation.
Ensure and promote adherence to 5S practices.
Identify training needs and nominate staff for internal or external programs.
Reduce waste and promote 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) initiatives.
Ensure compliance with safety and health standards in all aspects.
Execute special assignments as directed by the Managing Director.

Requirments
Proven track record of at least 8 years in a senior production management role within the manufacturing industry.

Extensive knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, production planning, and quality management systems.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think strategically and implement practical solutions.

Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and empower a diverse team.

Proficient in data analysis and the use of production management software.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.

Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and safety standards.

Candidates with experience in Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Unit Assembly processes will have an added advantage.
