Company and Job Overview:
A leading contract manufacturer with a strong presence across Asia is hiring a General Manager to lead its Penang operations. Reporting directly to the VP of Asia Operations, this senior leadership role will oversee the full spectrum of manufacturing activities, including assembly and integration, sheet metal fabrication, and machining. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving strategic planning, operational discipline, and continuous improvement initiatives to achieve excellence in quality, cost, and delivery. This is a high-impact role suited for a visionary leader with deep experience in contract manufacturing and a passion for operational excellence.
 

Job Responsibilities:

• Leading cross-functional teams and aligning operations with long-term strategic goals.
• Establishing KPIs and growth plans to ensure operational efficiency and accountability.
• Driving competency development in lean manufacturing and leadership across teams.
• Ensuring a safe, sustainable, and high-performing work environment.
• Managing resources, succession planning, and organizational development.
   

Job Requirements:

• Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Over 10 years of progressive experience in engineering and operations, with at least 5 years in senior leadership within contract manufacturing.
• Strong strategic mindset, hands-on leadership, and passion for operational excellence.
