COMPANY OVERVIEW
A regional Japanese bank with a presence in Singapore, it operates as a wholesale bank. The office's primary function is to serve as a hub for gathering financial and economic intelligence on the region.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• You'll build and maintain strong relationships with clients and underwriters through regular communication.

• Prepare new and renewal proposals, engage in pre-placement and negotiation strategy discussions, and secure the best terms for clients.

• Cover markets according to internal guidelines, confirm placements, and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.

• Act as a key team member, aligned with team goals, and actively participated in strategy meetings.

• Source new business, identify new opportunities in regional markets, and develop strategies to retain the existing client base.

• Select appropriate carriers with the right expertise and analyze carrier capacities in both new and existing lines of business.

REQUIREMENTS

• 7 to 10 years in the reinsurance industry with at least 5 years of facultative broking experience in Property and Engineering lines. Knowledge of Casualty and Financial Lines is a plus.

• A bachelor’s degree and a Certificate of General Insurance are required.

• Excellent verbal and written communication, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines. You must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
