Description

• Develop and maintain Japan's risk management framework aligned with local regulations and global standards
• Lead investment risk oversight across public and private markets, including valuation and liquidity governance
• Monitor portfolio and investment guideline compliance, escalating breaches as needed
• Drive operational risk and resilience initiatives, including third-party risk and business continuity planning
• Investigate operational risk events and conduct root cause analysis with control recommendations
• Represent Japan Risk in global/regional projects and committees
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across Tokyo, UK, and NY offices

• Extensive risk management experience in asset management (buy-side only)
• Strong foundation in investment risk analytics for liquid markets
• Familiarity with Japanese regulatory frameworks (FIEL, JITA, JIAA, etc.)
• Fluent English and Japanese language skills
• Proven ability to work independently and influence senior stakeholders
• Experience working with global teams and cross-border communication
