Position Summary:

This position serves as the Digital & Automation Business Support Leader at Duroptix Materials Kabushiki Kaisha (a joint venture), with a primary focus on supporting the company’s unique digital environment and Automation & Process Control (A&PC) systems. The role ensures alignment with Qnity’s global digital strategies while addressing the specific operational needs of Duroptix.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Improvement & Project Support

• Work with other departments to identify operational challenges and propose digital or automation-based improvements.
• Manage project planning and execution, including stakeholder coordination.
• Lead change management, user training, and internal communication efforts.
   

Automation & Process Control (A&PC) Support

• Support the maintenance, deployment and improvement of manufacturing automation and control technologies (e.g. process historian, printers, and mobile devices) 
• Facilitate data collection, visualization, and analysis to enhance quality and productivity.
• Coordinate with vendors and technical partners for A&PC systems.
•  Maintain a safe and reliable process control environment.
   

Digital Environment Support

• Support the implementation and operation of digital tools and systems tailored to Duroptix’s business processes.
•  Promote operational efficiency through the 1st level support of Microsoft 365 and enterprise applications such as SAP. If necessary, escalate issues to the 2nd level support.
• Assist in digital marketing initiatives including website, social media, and email campaigns.
• Collaborate with global/regional teams to deploy digital solutions that meet local business requirements.

Establishment of IT Infrastructure

• Due to the company split, the establishment of the IT infrastructure (internal network, servers, PCs, security, etc.) at the Chiba office will be carried out in collaboration globally.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a large organization or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with digital tools, manufacturing and enterprise applications.
• Basic knowledge and experience in A&PC systems.
• Proficiency in Japanese and English.
• Experience working in multicultural and global environments.
• Skills in project management, vendor coordination, and user support.
