Job Title: Financial Analyst
Location: Singapore - Central

A leading energy and materials conglomerate headquartered in Japan, this organization has a long-standing presence across petroleum refining, automotive lubricants, renewable energy, and resource recycling. It plays a strategic role in advancing energy infrastructure and sustainability initiatives throughout Asia. The Singapore office serves as a key regional hub, focusing on lubricant distribution, technical support, and energy trading, while partnering with industrial and automotive clients to deliver tailored solutions and market insights.
Your New Role
Financial Planning & Analysis:
Drive the annual budgeting process in close collaboration with various departments, ensuring alignment with broader business strategies.
Monitor and analyze monthly and quarterly financial performance, including P&L breakdowns by business unit.
Conduct variance analysis against budgets and prior year figures to support decision-making.
Prepare clear and insightful management reports for internal review and submission to senior leadership and overseas headquarters.
Work cross-functionally to gather relevant operational and financial data for accurate reporting.
Continuously enhance the quality, efficiency, and clarity of internal reporting processes through process improvements and digital tools.
Tax & Compliance Support:
Oversee the application and compliance processes for local tax incentive schemes.
Maintain and update transfer pricing documentation in line with evolving business models.
Support compliance with emerging international tax regulations, including BEPS 2.0 requirements.
General Finance Support:
Manage corporate insurance matters and liaise with relevant stakeholders as needed.
Take on additional finance-related tasks as assigned by senior finance leadership.
Deliver regular financial reports and analysis to senior management.
Key Qualifications for Success
Minimum 4 years of experience in finance or accounting, with strong exposure to management reporting and budgeting.
Industry experience in energy or related sectors is a plus.
Strong skills in budgeting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
Excellent analytical thinking and clear, structured communication.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, charting), Word, and PowerPoint.
Business-level Japanese proficiency is beneficial but not required.
Open to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents only.
