PR/159371 | Regional Product Engineer (Automation / PLC / System Design)

Job Overview:

We are looking for a hands-on and solution-oriented Regional Product Engineer to join our client. You will be involved in designing, developing, testing, and integrating automation solutions that meet customer needs. This role also supports the sales team in preparing technical proposals and works closely with product managers to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop automation systems, components and control solutions (e.g: PLC, HMI, SCADA) 

• Collaborate with hardware/ software teams and technology partners to create integrated solutions 

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and support scalability for future expansion

• Integrate mechanical, electrical and software elements into cohesive systems 

• Validate system interoperability and support cross functional testing 

• Develop and execute test plans for performance, reliability and safety 

• Troubleshoot technical issue during development and post deployment 

• Support prototype transition to scalable manufacturing ready products

• Optimize design for manufacturability and ease of installation 

• Translate customer requirements into product features and specs

• Assist in pre-sales activities including technical proposals and cost estimation 

• Manage technical documentation (drawings, wiring diagrams, installation guides) 

• Ensure documentation aligns with ISO, IEC and company standards

• Identify and implement continuous improvements in performance, cost efficiency and maintainability

Job Requirements:

• Degree in engineering or equivalent 3-4 years of working experience in product/ system engineering 

• Willingness and ability to travel frequently 

• Proficiency in Mandarin (both verbal and written) is required to engage with Chinese speaking clients and suppliers 

• Familiarity in integrating multiple engineering design element 

• Good interpersonal skills and excellent team spirit 

• Proficiency with PLC, HMI, SCADA systems

• Familiarity with IoT, edge computing and AI applications in automation 

• Strong troubleshooting, testing and validation skills
