We are seeking a highly skilled Manager – Design & Development to lead innovative product design and development initiatives, ensuring technological advancements, process efficiency, and adherence to APQP guidelines. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in wiring harness development and a strong understanding of product lifecycle management.

• Drive technological improvements to enhance development efficiency and minimize iterations.
• Define and arrange specifications for Unique/New Product Development (NPD) components.
• Lead project activities in alignment with APQP timing plans, ensuring timely execution.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations to stakeholders.
• Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of drawings, reference samples, and development products.
• Oversee prototype sample creation when required.
• Recommend technical specifications for new and existing products.
• Facilitate concept meetings with the APQP team, communicating customer requirements effectively.
• Finalize and manage the Development Schedule/APQP timing plan.
• Conduct daily departmental meetings to track progress and address concerns.
• Validate technical queries and implement effective solutions.
• Lead cost reduction proposals through Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) reviews.
• Oversee Engineering Change Notice (ECN) implementation activities.
• Engage with customers for development activities, including trial attendance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (CFT) to ensure seamless project development within APQP timelines.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Design, or a related field.
• Proven experience in wiring harness development and APQP processes.
• Strong proficiency in design software and product development tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, project management, and leadership abilities.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
