Position Title: Translator

Contract Type: Temporary (renewable)

Term: Starting August 1 (or earlier if possible), for 3 months, with potential for renewal

Working Hours: 10:00–18:00, Monday to Friday

Work Style: In-office

Benefits: Remote work (number of days/week to be confirmed), ¥2,000/hour lunch allowance per office day

Hourly Rate: Negotiable based on experience and skillset

Specializing in animation, games, and comics, the company is part of a larger Middle Eastern organization focused on producing culturally rich and globally engaging stories. With a close-knit team of around 20 employees in Japan, the company actively collaborates with leading Japanese studios and creative partners to bring high-quality content to life.

Job Description

This role involves translating creative materials related to animation, games, and comics. These materials originate in Arabic and are first translated into English by internal staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating from English into Japanese, ensuring that the final output is accurate, natural, and culturally appropriate for Japanese audiences.

The team is therefore looking for someone with strong written Japanese skills and a keen eye for detail.

Main Responsibilities

• Translate creative content and materials from English to Japanese
• Ensure high-quality, accurate, and culturally relevant translations
• Conduct necessary research for correct terminology and localization
• Collaborate with the internal team to maintain translation standards
