Legal Entity Controller - US Financial Institution

We are currently searching for a responsible and detail-oriented Legal Entity Controller, Associate for a well-respected entity within the Banking & Financial Services industry. The successful candidate will manage financial reports, ensure compliance with regulations, and contribute to our client's team in Tokyo.

Description

* Produce monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for entities in Japan, in JGAAP or USGAAP

* Analyze all proposed and existing products, services or businesses collaborating with Accounting and Regulatory Policy team, Legal and Compliance department and other relevant groups to avoid challenges in financial/regulatory audit

* Managing the required processes that support the Firm's legal entity governance and structure by executing policy and guidance

* Produce ad hoc deliverables and internal reporting for Firm Management

* Participate in various educational opportunities and update knowledge efficiently

A successful Legal Entity Controller, Associate should have:

* Strong, data-oriented, and problem solving skills

* Ability and willingness to work with virtual teams across varying regions towards the achievement of common goals

* Aptitude for working in a swiftly changing, dynamic environment

* An understanding of at least one of the following areas: financial regulatory reporting, broker-dealer accounting in financial industry, audited financial statements with comprehensive footnotes or auditing financial statements

* Strong attention to details

* Excellent communication skills (Japanese and English proficiency preferred)

* Self-motivated personality with high standards for quality of work and accuracy

* Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)

* University degree (BSc or BA) in accounting, finance, or a related discipline

* 5 years of work experience in a related field
