Our esteemed client in Japan is seeking an experienced Project Manager professional with
good English command and N2/N1 Japanese proficiency levels.
Position: Project Manager
Reporting Line: local PM team leader.
Contract Type: Contract (3 months initially, with the possibility of extension up to 12
months based on performance and requirements)
Location: Japan
Required Experience: 12-15 years

Job Description Summary
Our client is seeking a Project Manager to lead project teams and manage cross-organizational
processes, including engineering, customer support, pre-sale, and more. The successful
candidate will coordinate with relevant functional stakeholders and ensure high levels of
customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
● Accomplish project objectives
● Understand customer needs, align expectations, and develop partnerships
● Define workflow processes and matrix responsibilities within customer/end customer
● Create and manage project plans, task assignments, timetables, and deliverables
● Prioritize and manage customer needs
● Control project operating expenses, including logistics

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 12 years experience in managing large-scale projects
• Technical and marketing orientation
• Excellent communication and matrix management skills
• Team player with excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
• Experience working with high-level management
• Ability to work under pressure and in a dynamic environment
• Experience in the technology sector
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Commercial (MBA is an advantage)
• Project experience in IP and Optical networking (advantage)
• Experience with multi-disciplinary projects (advantage)
• PMP or similar certification (advantage)
• Fluent in English and Japanese (N1/N2)

Technical Proficiency

• MS Office and MS Project proficiency
• Experience with Salesforce and Smartsheet (a plus)
