SAP Technical Consultant - Retail

Company Profile

A US headquartered specialist clothing and apparel company are currently undergoing a major tech-transformation and are looking for an SAP technical consultant to lead their migration away from their existing ERP system.

The Role

You will be driving the migration of a legacy ERP system, which has been used since the company's launch in Japan more than 20 years ago, ensuring a smooth transition to their global SAP system, in particular working on SCM, FI/CO, MM modules. Once the implementation is complete, there will be more long-term product management type tasks - upgrades, development, maintenance, etc. - so this will be a key role in the company for the foreseeable future.

Your Skills

• Fluent Japanese and business level English are a must for this role due to internal communication and calls with global teams.
• Someone with a strong ERP implementation background (SAP / Oracle) will be needed for this role - we're looking for more of a hands-on consultant, rather than a pure project manager, as your knowledge will be used to challenge and manage vendors.
• Any exposure to the retail sector is a plus, though not mandatory.
