Our client, a leading player in the sport industry, is seeking an high performing eCommerce Director to join their vibrant team in Tokyo. As the eCommerce Director, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with the local CEO, a smart and international professional who brings decades of invaluable Japan and global market experience to the table. Managing an attractive brand portfolio of seasonal and all-season brands, you'll directly oversee each eCommerce brand manager, making a significant impact on the company's growth and direction.
This role is suitable for both experienced eCommerce Managers accepting a new challenge and experience Directors keen to shape the future of eCommerce within a top industry player.

The Role

• Manage the annual budget process and quarterly forecasting for the ecom business unit in conjunction with the President & CFO/FP&A team
• Manage all online activity in relation to traffic acquisition, sales, conversion and reporting
• Develop and implement ecommerce strategy in order to improve website performance
• Strategic and day to day operation responsibility to drive growth
• Work with the marketing teams in order to improve quality and traffic acquisition
• Analyze various data in order to deliver data driven strategies in order to deliver top performance and achieve KPIs

Your Skills

• 3+ year experience in leadership position in Japan consumer goods ecommerce business
• 5+ year experience in Japan consumer goods ecommerce business
• Significant online performance-based marketing experience, both customer acquisition and retention, including SEO/SEM, affiliates, mobile, social media optimization
• Confidence developing and overseeing retail and ecommerce-focused digital marketing strategies
• Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills to define a shared vision and accomplish team goals.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills with an ability to facilitate dialog and collaborate effectively in teams.
• English preferred but not required
