The Role

We are searching for a proficient Technical Lead specializing in various network technologies with a strong emphasis on engineering and operations. The person needs to manage and deliver Network projects within proposed budget and timelines.

• Design and implement network infrastructure in Japan data centres
• Act as a liaison between cross-functional teams, providing technical expertise and guidance for successful onboarding of applications and integration of network solutions
• Oversee the daily operations of the network infrastructure, ensuring seamless functionality, stability, and performance.
• Provide 2nd / 3rd level network operational support
• Ensure global standard and best practices are implemented in all network infrastructure
• Ensure technical documentation are properly maintained
• Support and administrate the firewall environment in line with IT security policy
• Provide consultations and operational support to business and IT units
• Manage and implement global / regional / local network initiatives as part of the global network team
• Conduct thorough analysis, monitoring, and capacity planning to maintain optimal performance and resource utilization.
• Drive automation initiatives to streamline operational tasks, improve efficiency, and reduce manual intervention

Your Skills

Mandatory experience:

• Bachelor or Master degree in a Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related technical field
• Extended experience (5+ years) in technical and network engineering / operation experience in large enterprise environment
• In-depth knowledge on network technology (TCP/IP, WAN/MAN/LAN technologies, routing protocols, HTTP/HTTPS, VPN, QoS, multicast), security principles, and troubleshooting methodologies
• Global / regional project implementation experience
• Working knowledge in Cisco network (CCIE preferred)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrate an ability to work well as part of a global team, and on their own when required.
• Bilingual of Japanese and English

Welcome experience:

• Fortinet firewalls, F5 load balancers, Zscaler Cloud-based Proxy Services, wireless network technology, Cisco ISE, Cisco FirePower VPN, network management tools (HPNA, Sevone, SMARTS, Wireshark, etc)
• Knowledge and experience of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) is highly desirable
• Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g. Terraform) to streamline operational tasks and improve efficiency is highly desirable
