Strategy Manager, global organization

Company Profile

Global organization (North American) with leading positioning in FS and strong presence in Japan. Due to sustained growth and strong project pipeline, our client is strengthening the Japan's corporate strategy office with the addition of one (1) Manager-level talent, to join a team of 5 and work on mission-critical strategic initiatives.

The Role

• Join a dynamic and elite 4-people team working under CSO - Chief Strategy Officer and driving mission-critical strategic transformation for the group in Japan
• Develop and review mid-long-term strategy at the corporate level, leveraging market and competitive landscape analysis, evolving customer preferences and technological advancements
• Design strategic initiatives, carrying on projects end-to-end, working cross-functionally with other internal and external stakeholders (strategic partnerships, alliances, product innovation, customer experience enhancement, organizational transformation)
• Evaluate priorities and lead (re)prioritization discussions on strategic investments to the senior management (CXOs) both locally and regionally
• Monitor progress of key strategic initiatives and report to senior management, proposing adjustments to short-term actions where needed

Your Skills

• 3+ years in strategy or business consulting. Mix of consulting and in-house is good as well
• Prior exposure to life-insurance projects (MUST HAVE)
• Proven ability to drive projects forward (PM / PMO experience)
• Solid communication skills, and ability to interact with C-level executives at a large organization
• Fluent Japanese and business-level English required
