Released in 2016, the service has been downloaded a total of 2.5 million times by May 2023.

In addition, the company is also putting efforts into new businesses such as "Personal Coaching," an online English coaching service, and "English Learning Q&A," a media service in which professional English coaches answer learning questions and concerns.

【 Job Description 】

This is an Android Developer position for AI English Conversation App

【What you’ll do】
・Design (architecture), develop, test, and deliver SpeakBuddy app
・Support the members inside and outside Android team
・Work with design, backend, iOS, growth & other teams
・Check, discuss, and install new & useful libraries / technologies
・Find and fix bugs from analytics tools or/and testing

【Requirements】
・At least 3 years of experience with Android app development and operation using Kotlin at a company that develops its own products or services, or an equivalent level of development skill
・Business level English language proficiency
・Experience leading a team of Android developers while also fulfilling cross team and cross function tasks
・Experience outside of development such as working with a designer to improve UX
・Experience or understandings of App Architecture, MVVM, and unit testings
・Experience troubleshooting complex applications and data structure
・Experience with planning and specification setting for new features of an app
・Knowledge and understanding about testing

【Nice to have】
・Experience as a Lead Engineer
・Experience releasing an app on Google Play Console
・Experience of the latest Android development (Jetpack Compose, Kotlinx, etc)
・Knowledge and experience of a feature / app / system with voice recognition
・Knowledge and experience of UI testing
・Strong knowledge of Material Design (Material 3, especially)
・Motivation to learn Japanese (current Japanese skill is not required)
