Responsibilities:

• Draft, review and negotiate contracts on collaborative research, sponsored research, IP administration, IP licensing, material transfer, confidentiality, employment, outsourcing, inter-institutions cooperation, student exchange, real estate, etc.
• Provide legal advice on institutional issues, such as faculty affairs, labor affairs, IP strategies, etc.
• Provide legal representation, advice and opinions in monitoring and resolving disputes.
• Report to and Assist the General Counsel.
• 契約書のドラフト、レビュー、交渉（共同研究、受託研究、知財管理、知財ライセンス、素材移転、守秘、雇用、委託、組織間協定、学生交流、不動産等）
• 組織レベルの問題に関する法的助言（教員に関する事項、労務、知財戦略等）
• 紛争に関する法的助言、法的代理
• 統括弁護士への報告、その他の業務

(Required)

• Qualified to practice Japanese Law with 3 years or more of work experience as a lawyer.
• Domestic and international work experience in the fields of intellectual property and labor affairs.   
• Business Level or more of English proficiency
• 日本の弁護士資格保有且つ3年以上の弁護士としての実務経験
• 知的財産分野及び労務分野に関する国内・渉外の実務経験
• ビジネスレベル以上の英語力

(Preferred)

• Experience in working as a corporate / university counsel
• Experience in dealing with patent licensing and administration
• Qualified to practice laws of U.S. or other jurisdiction
• 企業内/大学内弁護士としての勤務経験
• 特許ライセンス、特許管理の経験
• 米国その他外国における弁護士資格
