We are looking for a Full-stack Engineer for PUSHCODE, a service that makes it easy to implement "web push notifications".

The development of PUSHCODE was selected for a “Monozukuri grant”, and through joint development with VMware Tanzu Labs, we have an environment that provides hands-on experience with Lean Startup principles and Extreme Programming (XP) methodology.

Engineers are in a position where they are responsible for creating software that "works" with consistent speed and quality, even in the face of dynamically changing requirements.

Software development in the PUSHCODE team will be better aligned with Lean product development. We want to iterate on a very fast "build and try minimally" cycle, but the engineers who build the software have to make it happen.

Therefore, the engineers on the PUSHCODE team need to have not only programming skills, but also "full stack" skills, including CI/CD knowledge, test-driven development practices, and server administration. And most importantly, you need to be able to work with PMs and designers to think about the product and contribute to the success of the team regardless of your role.

[ Area of Responsibility and Job Description ]

◆Full-stack development
You will be in charge of server-side,  front-end implementation necessary for product development and service operation. You will be responsible for server-side development implemented in Go language as well as database design and management. You will also be involved in API design as PUSHCODE provides its own API.

◆CI/CD for short iterations
You will be in charge of building CI/CD, which is essential to realize this cycle of deploying code to production and implementing the results of "hypothesis testing" obtained from actual users in the product with high frequency. You will also work on practicing the test-driven development necessary for this.

◆Communicate your ideas to team members
PUSHCODE engineers are responsible for the technology of our products. As an engineer, you will be accountable for communicating your thought process to your team members, including how you think and make decisions. We emphasize the stance of discussing and thinking about the product with PMs and designers, rather than just saying, "I'll build it if you decide."

Required skills

• Experience in the development of web services from the design phase.
• Basic database knowledge and design experience.
• Knowledge of basic CI/CD concepts.

• Hands-on experience with API design and development.

Working style

★Remote work
Currently, all employees are working remotely. Once the situation of the new coronavirus (COVID-19) infection settles down, we plan to allow employees to come to the office to work. You can also continue to work remotely and move outside the commuting area of the office.

★Flextime system
EDOCODE has a flextime system, so as long as you work during the core hours of 10:00 - 16:00, the rest of your time is free.

Applying from outside Japan

★Time zone
You must reside in an area where the time difference from Asia/Tokyo(UTC+09:00) is within 2 hours.

★Contract　
In principle, if you work while living outside Japan, the relationship is not an employment contract but an outsourcing contract. However, the way you are treated and interacted with in the company is exactly the same as that of an employee.

★Migration to Japan
We provide full support for foreign nationals moving to Japan to obtain their status of residence.
