About the role
Appier is looking for a full-time Japanese/English Translator/Interpreter who is great in detail and accuracy to deliver precise translation/interpretation of existing content/documents, presentation materials in a well-constructive way, and simultaneous interpretation at meetings.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to)

• Translate English/Japanese content of website, marketing material, or documents with friendly, precise, and consistent user interface wording.
• Fill out the roadmap document to track translation status/progress so that the localization manager can keep an eye on the project progress.
• Able to use engaging language and formatting to attract the attention of browsers/potential customers of our websites.
• Support simultaneous interpretation meeting types including (but not limited to) general meetings, internal training sessions for Japanese colleagues, digital video conferences (DVC), and conference calls.

Qualifications:

• 8+  years of experience in marketing communications experience
• Good command of written English; fluency in Japanese
• A strategic growth mindset and excellent organizational skills

About you

[Essential]

• Received formal training in simultaneous interpretation OR have performed simultaneous interpretation in the past for at least 5 years
• Native in Japanese
• Crisp oral and written communications in English
• Able to work under tight deadlines and can return cases in a timely manner
• Ability to adapt quickly and work successfully in an evolving and culturally diverse environment
• Willing to communicate to ensure smooth project delivery and execution, and always alert for emails from project coordinators
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals and groups at all levels of the organization
• Over 2 years of translation/simultaneous interpretation experience from English to Japanese and Japanese to English

[Nice to have]

• Translation or relevant field of study or experience in translating technical content is a plus
• Working experiences in digital advertising industries
• Familiar with SaaS marketing automation or DSP/CDP products
