Business Development Manager

Your primary objective will be to develop existing or new Contract Logistics business by coordinating all business development actions + triggering opportunities for larger accounts at a country or cluster level.
You will do this by working with a variety of internal + external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with our current commercial policy while focusing on the following key objectives.
 

• To develop + manage a sizeable pipeline of opportunities, actively driving each opportunity through the entire Customer Engagement Cycle.
• To lead commercial negotiations + create high quality business proposals.
• To actively develop + maintain customer contacts along with a network of prospects.
• To actively network + link with other colleagues (Subject matter experts, Vertical Specialists, Account Managers) at every level of the organisation, from global to regional to country.
• To highlight achievements in the business development space using a variety of dynamic tools.
• To capture + manage business + market intelligence, ensuring the communication of same to key stakeholders.
• To drive + roll-out yearly business development plans.

Your skills and experience

• Diploma/Tertiary certification in Supply Chain or Business, with additional degree in Engineering preferred
• Minimum 8 years of logistics operational experience in Logistics field.
• Minimum 5 years of International experience
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience.
• 2-5 years of project management experience preferred.
• Attention to detail, solution design, problem solving and negotiation skills required.
• Ability to read, write and converse in Japanese and English fluently
• Strong team player and is self-motivated

To be successful the need to be results driven, outgoing and able to network independently. This person needs to be open minded and a good listener.
