Process Engineer (Semiconductor)

POSITION SUMMARY
ASM is recruiting for a Process Engineer in our Global Key Product Unit business function located in Tokyo, Japan. You will be part of a team of PEALD or PECVD providing innovations of technologies and developing new processes for semiconductor fabrication.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, collect data, analyze and compile reports on a variety of process engineering experiments,
• Perform hardware characterization and define process window and process hardware interaction
• Troubleshoot a variety of complex problems, perform Root Cause Analysis, and resolve a variety of difficult process engineering issues
• Generate internal and external documentation for products, presentations, and technical reports
• Interact with customers to resolve a variety of difficult process engineering issues/problems with limited supervision.

KEY REQUIREMENTS
• Process Engineer Experience in Semiconductor Industry
• Skill of demonstrating conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines.
• Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; recommends product and process improvements.
• Has a spirit to challenge new problems and develops strategies for project execution.
• Skill to solve complex problems, takes a new perspective on existing solutions, innovative

EDUCATION
Ph.D. degree preferred in the following disciplines: EE, MSE, Ch. E, Chemistry, Physics.
