JOB TITLE: Merchandising Specialist, Men’s, Kids, SMU
REPORTS TO: Senior Manager

LOCATION: Tokyo, Japan
Working under the leadership of the Senior Manager, MD Japan and in partnership with the global merchandising team, the Merchandising specialist is responsible for the execution of Brand Strategy in line with Global, the facilitation of maximizing sales, profits and brand equity through effective coordination of the logistics, operations, and marketing of the respective category within the UGG brand for all distribution channels, including Retail, Wholesale and e-Commerce in Japan.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Implement category merchandising strategy to Japan market: (20% of time)
Set and execute category strategy based on long range plan. Identify future opportunity through the understanding of brand /market/customer/distribution channel.
Create seasonal assortment plan (30% of time)
Work closely with global PLM, UGG brand and with head of merchandising to plan and select for seasonal product story and mix for Deckers Japan.
Understand market and customers shopping habits and requirements and implement plan to satisfy their needs.
Achieve Financial Goals. Net sales, gross margin, SKU productivity. (30% of time)
Ensure all products are well enough merchandised to maximize the financial goals in terms of quantity, timing and assortment. Enhance SKU productivity to improve inventory turnover.
SMU and collaborations (20% of time)
Work closely with the category managers/sales teams and manage SMU/collaboration creations with global teams. Manage sample delivery and launch date adjustments.
