Job description

As a business system analyst in life insurance client projects, you will be responsible for the following tasks.

  • Stands between business users (clients) and the development team to define requirements for the entire development process, including defining the project scope, and coordinate stakeholder interests.
  • Perform business analysis through conversations with business users, create estimates and manage man-hours
  • Review existing system and business flow procedures, identify new system requirements, ensure consistency with existing procedures, and document
  • Analyze and document business requirements using IIBA, UML, data flow modeling, workflow analysis, functional decomposition analysis, etc.
  • Apply and manage IT and document standards for project deliverables
  • Work with the quality assurance team to verify that deliverables are standardized and meet quality standards.
  • Define acceptance criteria for the system and work with each team (business user, developer, test team, quality assurance team, etc.) to ensure reliable delivery

Required work experience and skills

  • At least 3 years of experience in business requirements definition and application design in system development in the insurance industry
  • Analyzing complex business, data, workflow and technology issues to support decision making
  • Ability to understand the entire system development process and use agile and use case techniques
  • Strong communication skills, good relationships with stakeholders, smooth business communication at meetings, etc., and ability to adjust interests
  • High problem-solving ability, overall optimization, good attention to detail, and multitasking

Welcome skills and experience

  • Strong experience in life insurance
  • Prior consulting or project management experience preferred
  • Participation experience in projects that collaborate with overseas bases (global projects, offshore development, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of RDBMS (Relational Data Base Management system)
  • Those who have life insurance related qualifications such as LOAM
  • Familiarity with MS Office, Visio, MPP and Access 

Language skill

  • Business-level Japanese language skills are required
