Job Description

Ahead Consulting is looking for an experienced bilingual desktop support engineer as part of our managed service covering international companies in Tokyo to support their mostly Japanese users. The role is roughly 70-80% Japanese, with 20-30% English required, depending on the client. You will work with one or more clients and will be scheduled to work at a particular client on a particular day of the week.

Job Description:

Provide desktop support to users in Japanese, and occasionally in English.

User account management such as setting up or cancelling email and Windows accounts

Troubleshoot general software like Outlook, Skype for Business, Windows

Troubleshoot hardware issues with PCs, desk phone, corporate iPhone, iPad, and multi-function printers

Assist in planning and coordinating for desktop PC projects such as upgrades of Windows and MS Office

Maintain IT asset inventory

General Requirements

Minimum Experience Level Over 3 years
Career Level Mid Career
Minimum English Level Daily Conversation (Amount Used: English usage about 25%)
Minimum Japanese Level Business Level
Minimum Education Level High-School or Below
Visa Status Permission to work in Japan required
