What you will be doing as Applications Manager
• Lead and develop a high-performing, diverse Applications team in Japan, fostering collaboration and open communication.
• Oversee customer support activities, resource planning, and technical issue resolution.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
• Set and track team and individual goals aligned with Nova’s business strategy.
• Drive successful execution of projects, demos, and evaluations in close coordination with global teams.
• Promote continuous learning, technical excellence, and innovative problem-solving within the team.
• Collaborate with HQ to align on technical updates, resource sharing, and strategic direction.
• Support sales efforts by delivering technical presentations, providing pre-sales support, and facilitating new product introductions.

Annual Salary: 12,000,000 to 14,000,000 JPY
*Determined based on experience and skills according to company regulations

Requirement
• Education: MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Experience: 5–10+ years in semiconductor metrology or equipment support, including leadership or project management experience.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of optical metrology (OCD, XPS, Raman, SIMS) is a strong advantage.Languages: Business-level proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N1) and English (both written and spoken).
• Soft Skills: Strategic thinking, team leadership, and excellent communication.
• Mobility: Willingness to travel domestically and occasionally overseas.
Preferred Qualifications
• 5+ years of hands-on fab experience and optical metrology support.
• Background in Optical CD, statistics, or modeling.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
• High sensitivity to Japan market trends and customer expectations.
